Sarah McIver is a freelance copywriter with two decades of experience across more than 30 industries.

Sarah has written high-performing copy for more than 50 clients worldwide including 888, Gala, Betfred, SBTech, PokerSnowie, SkillOnNet, Free World One, The Free World Charter, LifeGames, and General Electric.

Following her experience in the online gaming industry and subsequently becoming the first freelance online gaming copywriter, Sarah produced the ‘Quick Guide to Effective Online Gaming Communications’.

Sarah has also worked with charities, non-profits and other philanthropic organisations, in one case writing promotional copy that resulted in the donation of €45,000 within weeks to an organisation that promotes evolving away from the use of money.

Sarah’s press releases have resulted in media exposure for clients across multiple industries including Dr Bob Houle of HappinessCenter.com who appeared on TV, radio and in the press featuring his Happiness Tips booklets, and Colin Turner of LifeGames who received TV and press attention for his new educational app launch.

Sarah was also contributing author of an edition of the popular ‘Chicken Soup’ book series ‘Chicken Soup for the Child’s Soul’, has written for a variety of online and offline publications including Globe Magazine, Upon This Rock magazine, Fine Design and LoveToKnow, and publishes articles on LinkedIn on a regular basis.

Sarah’s breadth of industry experience, depth of marketing experience and multipotentialite nature have resulted in her spearheading roles that have included CRM Executive, Copywriter, Journalist, Content Manager, Editor, Proofreader, Translations Manager, Volunteer Coordinator, Social Media Manager, Promotions Manager, PR Manager and Marketing Director.

Sarah studied Aquatic Bioscience at the University of Glasgow, completed the AWAI’s ‘Six-Figure Copywriting’ and ‘Copywriting for Nonprofits’ courses, and is a Level 5 Qualified Teacher of English as a Foreign Language.
